GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE
Rooms and Suites
These terms and conditions of sale apply to all reservations made at the Hôtel PASHMINA by individual guests of legal age, for the rental of rooms and suites, Cosy Home and flats.
They do not apply to bookings or paid services at the hotel’s various points of sale (boutique, Spa, bar, restaurants, wellness, ski-shop).
These conditions also apply to bookings made via a partner (travel agent, tour operator, booking websites other than www.hotelpashmina.com), with the exception of the booking and cancellation conditions specific to them.
PRICES
Unless otherwise specified, the prices shown in the various brochures and advertisements, and displayed in the hotel and in the rooms, are based on a seven-night stay from Saturday to Saturday, including breakfast, and on accommodation only for the flats. These are indicative prices only and cannot be used as a reference in the event of a dispute.
The valid price for the stay is that given in the price proposal drawn up and sent by the hotel, or available on the various websites offering the Pashmina. These prices are subject to change every day.
The price includes
access to the Aqua PASHMINA area: heated indoor swimming pool with mountain view and whirlpool bath, solarium, steam room, old wood sauna, experience showers, outdoor whirlpool bath and Nordic bath (except flat rental – with supplement)
access to the fitness room (except flat rental – with supplement)
wi-fi connection and international TV channels in your room (except Igloo Pod)
service and VAT.
Half-board includes accommodation, breakfast and the evening menu excluding drinks at the Base Camp restaurant. It begins with dinner on the evening of arrival and ends after breakfast on the day of departure. Half-board is a choice to which you are committed for the duration of your stay. If you do not eat one or more meals, no refund will be given.
Half-board is not available in the gourmet restaurant “Les Explorateurs”.
Dinner is served in the hotel restaurant from 7pm to 9.30pm. If you arrive after 9.30pm, a cold meal tray may be served in your room, provided you inform the hotel before 7pm on the day of arrival at the latest.
The rates quoted by the hotel do not include tourist tax. This must be paid in addition, at the time of departure. As an indication, this tax is €3.85 per night per person aged 18 and over. The amount of the tourist tax is likely to vary according to the legal provisions in force, and the hotel will automatically pass on any variation in this tax, without this giving rise to any claim whatsoever.
Similarly, any official change in VAT will automatically be reflected in the sale prices.
DESCRIPTION
The photographs presented on our website www.hotelpashmina.com and in our holiday offers are not contractually binding. Although every effort is made to ensure that the photographs, graphic representations and texts reproduced to illustrate the PASHMINA Hotel give as accurate an idea as possible of the accommodation services offered, variations may occur, particularly due to changes in furniture or possible renovations. The Customer may not make any claim as a result.
TYPES OF ROOMS
The hotel offers several types of room, depending on availability at the time of booking. The room type is only confirmed when the booking confirmation is sent, subject to availability.
For a preference in terms of bed layout, the customer must make a request at the time of booking and subject to availability. Unless otherwise specified, rooms will be allocated according to availability and beds prepared according to their default configuration in the room.
Baby bed: the request must be made at the time of booking, so that the hotel can offer a room that can accommodate a baby bed. In the event of a later request, the hotel will do its best to accommodate the guest’s request, but cannot guarantee this.
RESERVATION
Direct booking with the hotel:
A proposal for a stay refers to availability and existing rates at the time it is drawn up, and is in no way a commitment.
When a customer wishes to confirm their stay, the hotel cannot be held responsible for any changes in availability or rates that have occurred since the proposal was drawn up. If necessary, a new proposal may be drawn up.
On specific request, we can offer you an option for a maximum of 24:00 and for a maximum of 2 rooms.
To confirm, you need to give us all the details of your stay (dates, choice of room type, type of booking, etc.) to determine the final cost of your stay and deposit. We will then send you a link to our secure payment site so that you can pay the deposit (50% of the total cost of your stay) and the flexible booking fee (optional: 4% of the total cost of your stay). Payment by bank transfer is also possible.
Until the deposit has been paid, the hotel reserves the right to refuse the booking.
Booking on our website:
Our website www.hotelpashmina.com shows current availability and rates in real time. When you make a reservation on our website, you will receive an automatic confirmation email summarising your order and confirming payment of the deposit (50% of the total cost of your stay) and the flexible reservation fee (optional: 4% of the total cost of your stay).
CONFIRMATION
A booking is only confirmed once the deposit has been paid. A confirmation of your stay will then be sent by e-mail.
No room number will be confirmed at this stage, as rooms are allocated at the hotel’s discretion.
Payment of the deposit constitutes acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale.
PAYMENT
The balance of the stay, as well as any other services provided by the hotel (extras), must be paid no later than the day of departure. To this end, a credit card guarantee is required on arrival at the hotel to cover the cost of the stay.
No credit will be granted.
We invite our customers to take steps to ensure that they have the necessary funds available (request to the bank to increase the weekly spending limit, payment in advance before or during the stay).
All payments are possible
By bank transfer, provided that the funds arrive before the departure date
By bank card
In cash, up to a limit of €1,000.00 (one thousand euros) per room per week.
Holiday vouchers and bank cheques are not accepted.
CANCELLATION POLICY
All cancellations must be sent by post or e-mail. To be valid, cancellations must be confirmed by the hotel in writing, by post or by e-mail.
Standard booking – 50% of the stay as a deposit
In the event of cancellation, the deposit is retained in full and is non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
Some offers have a free cancellation ‘X’ days before arrival. If this is the case, it will be clearly indicated on your holiday confirmation.
In the event of a no-show or cancellation on the day of arrival or the day before arrival after midday, the entire stay per room will be charged and the reservation will be automatically cancelled.
In the event of a change to the stay (change of dates, shortening of stay), the price of the stay will be updated and cancellation charges will apply.
Flexible booking – 50% deposit + 4% non-refundable booking fee
For an additional 4% of the total cost of your stay, payable at the time of booking, you can have your deposit refunded in the event of cancellation due to force majeure (as defined by law), hospitalisation or sick leave, or the death of a close relative, on presentation of supporting documents, if this cancellation is notified by noon at the latest on the day before the arrival date.
This option also allows you to recover your deposit if official restrictions linked to a pandemic make your stay impossible (official proof required), or if Hôtel PASHMINA is unable to accommodate you and has to cancel your reservation.
Failure to comply with the health standards in force is your responsibility and will result in the cancellation of your stay, which will be due in full, whatever the type of reservation and the date of cancellation.
CANCELLATION BY THE HOTEL
In the event that the room booked is not available, Hôtel PASHMINA undertakes to offer a room of a higher category than the one booked, at no extra charge and without compensation.
In the event of the Hotel PASHMINA being closed, all reservations will be cancelled and the deposit refunded, less 2% of the total amount of the stay with a minimum of €60.00 per room, in administration costs, except for flexible reservations.
EARLY DEPARTURE
Any stay begun is payable in full.
In the event of interruption of the stay, the entire deposit shall be retained by the establishment. Similarly, the total cost of the stay booked is due in full. Early departures and services not taken up by the customer, for whatever reason, do not entitle the customer to any refund or reduction. The balance of the stay, including extras, will be invoiced in full. In particular, meals not taken will not be deducted.
Customers who interrupt their stay early may apply to their insurance company for reimbursement of nights billed and not used, subject to presentation of a certificate. Under no circumstances will reimbursement be payable by the hotel.
STAY RULES
To obtain the room keys, the customer must present :
valid identification
a bank card in the same name as the ID card, to guarantee their stay
confirmation of their stay
Failing this, the hotel may refuse to provide the service booked and cancel the reservation, at the customer’s expense (100% of the stay due).
Customers who have not made a reservation will be asked for :
a valid identity document,
a bank card in the same name as the ID card to guarantee the stay,
100% pre-payment for the stay, car park and tourist tax.
In order to guarantee your stay, Hôtel PASHMINA may be required to make a pre-authorisation payment of an amount corresponding to the total cost of your stay, less any deposit already paid, plus €200 per day and per person. This amount blocked on the credit card is not a deposit, but an advance.
If the number of people staying in the room is greater than that indicated in the confirmation of stay, the hotel may, in compliance with the safety standards of each room :
accept one or more additional people in the category initially booked, at a supplement to be paid on the spot
offer a larger room at an additional cost
offer an additional room, at an additional cost
and, in the absence of availability, the hotel may refuse to accept guests not included in the initial reservation.
The customer accepts and undertakes to use the room and communal areas provided in a reasonable and respectful manner.
Any behaviour that is contrary to the principles of safety, hygiene, public decency or that disrupts public order may lead the hotel to ask the customer to leave the establishment, without reimbursement.
Any damage caused by the guest or by the occupants of the hotel or its outbuildings during their stay must be reported to reception and the cost of repair or replacement will be charged to the guest.
If offences or damage are found after departure, the amount of compensation will be debited from the customer’s bank card.
The Hôtel PASHMINA reserves the right not to receive, or to terminate the stay of a customer, without any reimbursement, in the event that the customer is indecently dressed or negligent, behaves noisily or improperly towards other customers or our staff, or is excessively drunk.
Rooms are made available to guests from 4pm on the day of arrival. They must be vacated by 10am at the latest on the day of departure. If guests wish to keep their rooms after 10am, they must request this from reception at least 12 hours in advance. Late check-out will only be granted if hotel availability permits. Any departure between 10am and 12pm will be charged €45, between 12pm and 2pm €70, between 2pm and 4pm €120 and between 4pm and 6pm €220. After this time, the night will be charged in full.
This rate is doubled for Suites with 2 or more bedrooms.
CHILDREN
Persons responsible for children are asked to ensure that they do not enter areas reserved for staff members. Any incident caused by a child will incur the responsibility of the adult in charge, who will also have to pay for any order placed by the child under his/her responsibility.
Unaccompanied children are also not allowed in the lifts.
The Spa is intended as a relaxation area and the swimming pool is not supervised. As such :
access to the swimming pool and indoor and outdoor jacuzzis is forbidden to unaccompanied children under the age of 16; children are the responsibility of their parents
access to the sauna and steam room is forbidden to minors
unaccompanied children under 16 are not allowed in the fitness area.
LUGGAGE
The hotel has a luggage room available to guests. Stored luggage remains the responsibility of the users of the luggage room. The hotel cannot under any circumstances be held responsible for the theft, loss or damage of luggage stored by guests in the common areas of the establishment. Animals, flammable products and dangerous objects will not be accepted in the luggage room. The hotel reserves the right to refuse to accept an item in the luggage room if it considers that this would protect the security of the establishment. Any luggage belonging to a person not staying at the Hôtel PASHMINA will not be accepted in the luggage room.
NO SMOKING
In accordance with the law of 1 January 2008, the entire hotel is non-smoking. Please also respect this restriction in the rooms. If you smoke in your room, you will be charged a flat rate of €70 per day to cover the cost of cleaning all carpets and fabrics and to eliminate tobacco odours for subsequent occupants. Please do not throw cigarette butts out of windows or over balconies. Smoking is possible on the terrace or in our panoramic smoking room. An ashtray can be provided on your balcony.
INSURANCE
The hotel takes out and maintains civil liability insurance, covering bodily injury and property damage sustained by guests as a result of its operations, for the entire duration of their stay. Guests are advised to take out any other insurance required for their personal cover. Snow insurance can be taken out when you buy your ski pass, or from the lift pass office.
HANDLING COMPLAINTS AND DISPUTES
Any complaint relating to a service must be sent by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt to Hôtel PASHMINA. Any dispute concerning the interpretation or performance of the contract which cannot be settled amicably will be referred to the Albertville Commercial Court.
Any recovery costs shall be borne by the customer.
